CAPI–F2F Interview

Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) is a method in which interviewers use electronic devices, such as tablets or smartphones, to conduct surveys. Instead of relying on paper forms, they enter responses directly into software, resulting in faster and more efficient data collection.

Myriad began implementing the CAPI face-to-face method in 2013. The first study using this approach was conducted in collaboration with USAID and the Ministry of Education to carry out the National Assessment of Reading Ability, in partnership with RTI International. The application used for implementing assessments and questionnaires is called Tangerine.

Since then, Myriad has conducted numerous research studies using the CAPI method and has started using various CAPI software to facilitate the process of collecting data for monitoring field acquisition and ensuring the quality of data collection.
